- In the traditional high school setting a student might take economics in social studies, then, in second hour, English composition, followed by an elective Business class.
- In Career Ingrained Learning we merge these classes together in a combined three-hour class where licensed high school teachers collaborate with guest instructors and local businesses to not only teach the required academic content through a career-oriented perspective but also develop the 4 C’s – collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication.
- Core experiences of this course would be:
- a ten week business project for a local company
- a three month innovation and business development training program for a product or service
- a mentor program with a local executive
- College credit in the core academic content of Economics, Business and English Business Communication
- Career Ingrained Learning can be implemented across a wide variety of academic subjects and professionals fields including design, healthcare, engineering and many more.
